Capybara Onsen Controls

Capybara Onsen uses standard Roblox movement plus a tycoon HUD. Dojo Empire has not published a unique keymap. This page documents the safe habits that keep you from merging the wrong pair or walking past Yuzu on a phone.

If you have not bought a Capybara yet, skim how to play first. Controls will not drop fruit for you.

Keyboard and mouse

Move with WASD. Move the camera with the right mouse button or the default Roblox camera keys. Click the shop, the deposit target, Lucky Boxes, and merge prompts. Shift-lock is optional. Most players do better without it because the Onsen is a small stage, not a PvP lane.

Zoom out until you can see both the Capybaras and the deposit point. Zooming in for screenshots is how piles disappear. After a screenshot, zoom out again before you shop.

Esc opens Roblox settings. Lower camera sensitivity if shop buttons feel slippery. The experience is not a flick shooter.

Phone and tablet

Use the thumb stick to walk and a second thumb for the camera. Tap once on a Lucky Box and wait. Double taps on a crowded HUD are how accidental purchases happen. If the jump button covers a shop icon, hide the jump button in Roblox settings or rotate to landscape.

Deposits on a phone fail when the fruit is behind your own Capybara. Walk to the side, then tap. If the tap still selects the unit, zoom out one notch.

The four taps that matter

1. Shop — buy a Capybara only after a deposit.
2. Deposit — convert Yuzu before any other tap.
3. Box — open Lucky Boxes before a merge.
4. Merge — combine a ready pair, then watch the new tier.

Those four taps are the same order as the merge planner. If you invent a fifth tap for decorations, put it last.

Misclick recovery

Bought the wrong Capybara? Let it drop Yuzu once, then fold it into the next merge instead of rage-rejoining. Opened a box you wanted to save? Place the unit and update the collection checklist. Expanded too early? Read how to expand and treat the empty wing as future space, not as a refund.

There is no published undo. Rejoining does not refund a shop click.

After a shutdown

Controls can feel different when a patch adds a button. The place page says shutdown means update. Walk the HUD before you tap merge. New icons often land where the old shop was. Latest notes is the page to read while the server boots.

Accessibility habits

Increase UI size in Roblox settings if codes or shop text is small. The redemption guide assumes you can see a text box. Play in a well-lit room if the steam VFX hides Yuzu. Turn down music if you use sound cues for drops — some devices bury the cue under the theme.
